Edcamp Newark Leadership is open to teaching professionals, school administrators, aspiring administrators, college professors, and college students who endeavor to make educational leadership their career choice. We would love to request that you consider joining us at this inaugural event and bring opening greetings or closing remarks to our participants.
Since the original Edcamp in Philadelphia in 2010, there have been more than 700 conferences around the world in 25 countries. Edcamps are tremendously popular "unconferences," and happen across the U.S. and the world almost every week. Each Edcamp is independently organized and hosted, is always free to participants, and brings together passionate educators for a day of learning and growth.

Often held on Saturdays, an Edcamp is participant-driven with the sessions suggested, developed and facilitated by the educators who are attending. There are no predetermined sessions,as a session board is created on the spot based on the interests of those in attendance.
At Edcamp Newark Leadership, free breakfast and lunch will be provided. There will be three time slots with approximately 12 sessions being offered in different rooms. During the day, attendees are encouraged to attend the sessions that most interest them and to find and choose their own professional development. After the last session there will be time to come back together in the cafeteria for closing events and prize giveaways.
This will be a time where robust conversations of the day are facilitated and enhanced when educational leaders from all our area collaborate and share ideas. We anticipate a participant pool of 250 as registration increases daily!
