Missing Old Bridge Woman Last Seen At Newark Restaurant Has Been Found

Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding an elderly Middlesex County resident who went missing after visiting a local restaurant, authorities announced Friday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Mabel Thompson, 84, of Old Bridge, was reported missing on Thursday.

Police said that Thompson – who is diagnosed with dementia – was last seen around 4 p.m. after she entered the bathroom of a restaurant on the 400-block of Wilson Avenue in Newark.

Thompson is 5 feet 4 inches and 115 pounds. She was wearing a black jacket, red skirt, blue baseball cap, and yellow and red house slippers, police said.
