The event will include a trunk-or-treat and a costume giveaway, the United Community Corporation said.

NEWARK, NJ — The United Community Corporation (UCC) will host its annual Harvest Fest in Newark on Friday, Oct. 27.
The family friendly festivities will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. at the West Side Park community center, 600 South 17th Street. The event will include a trunk-or-treat and a costume giveaway, ensuring that each child in attendance can “fully embrace the Halloween spirit this year,” organizers said.
The UCC will provide resources to attendees, such as a groceries and fresh produce distribution, and its Mobile Wash Trailer where Newark residents can clean their clothes – free of charge.
