Missing Essex County Boy Found Safe Near Kean College: Police

An 11-year-old boy in Essex County was reported missing in Newark, seen in Irvington, then found safe in Union, police said.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a missing, 11-year-old boy in Essex County.

On Friday, police announced they are seeking help finding Jayden Tucker of Newark, who was reported missing from the 200-block of Seymour Avenue.

“He may have run away and possibly left the area at 1 a.m.,” the Newark Department of Public Safety stated.

A taxi cab driver saw Jayden walking westbound on Clinton Avenue in Irvington around 3 a.m., police said.

“While police are actively searching for Jayden, pictured below, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him and returning him to his family,” authorities said.

Police described Tucker as 5 feet 5 inches and 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is in “good mental and physical condition,” authorities said.
