Essex County Job Fair: Whole Foods, Clara Maass, Turtle Back Zoo Are Hiring

Essex County College will host a job fair on Oct. 4 that will include Whole Foods, the Clara Maass Medical Center and the Turtle Back Zoo.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex County College, in partnership with 10 area companies searching for candidates to fill both full and part-time positions, will host a fall job fair on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the college’s 4th floor multipurpose room at 303 University Avenue in Newark.

According to college administrators, companies looking to fill “a variety of positions” will include:

  • Adecco
  • Clara Maass Medical Center/RWJ Barnabas Health
  • Cosmopolitan Medical Staffing Solutions
  • Everas Community Services
  • Farmland Fresh Dairies
  • Major Healthcare Insurance Provider
  • Revolution Foods
  • Tiffany & Co.
  • Turtle Back Zoo
  • Whole Foods Market

Registration is required to attend the event, and can be done at https://jobfairecctraininginc.eventbrite.com.

This is the third job fair this year in which the college’s Training, Inc. partnered with one or multiple area employers.

“We are very excited to continue our outreach to Essex students and the community at large as we work to provide employment opportunities,” said Mitra Choudhury, Director of the College’s Training, Inc. program. “We certainly hope to continue offering these employment opportunities in the coming months. I personally hope our students will take advantage of this job fair right on our campus.”

According to organizers, job fair attendees should:

  • Dress professionally
  • Bring multiple copies of your resume and a pen
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot
  • Tell a friend—all job seekers are welcome
  • Prepare a brief and effective statement about your professional career to share with the recruiters
  • Target your desired employer but keep an open mind other possible employment opportunities
