Essex County Latino American Chamber Names 'Small Business Supporter of the Year'
Enterprise Development Center receives Small Business Supporter of Year award from Essex County Latino American Chamber of Commerce.

NEWARK, NJ - From the Essex County Latino American Chamber of Commerce: The Essex County Latino American Chamber of Commerce has honored the Enterprise Development Center (EDC), a New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT)/New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) organization, with the Small Business Supporter of the Year Award.
The Essex County Latino American Chamber of Commerce supports minority owned businesses in Essex County through networking, marketing and educating owners.

The EDC is a high-tech and life science business development center on the campus of NJIT It assists and supports startups and growth companies in becoming profitable businesses and dynamic participants in the economic life of New Jersey and the nation. Through a broad range of knowledge and resources, from finding the right working space and attracting investment capital to building staff and developing effective business plans and marketing strategies, the EDC give startups a critical edge on their path to commercialization.
In accepting the award, EDC Executive Director Jerry Creighton said, “We are proud to be recognized by the Essex County Latino American Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business Supporter of the Year. The Latino American Chamber serves the needs of a vibrant and thriving community of entrepreneurs and growing minority owned businesses. It is an honor to work closely with this dynamic chamber and its members.”
