Newark Man With Dementia Missing, Police Ask For Help
Ernest Palmer, 56, was last seen with two hospital bands on his wrists, police said.
NEWARK, NJ — Police continue their search for a man with dementia reported missing in Essex County on Tuesday.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Ernest Palmer, 56, of Newark, was reported missing from the 200-block of Chadwick Avenue. Palmer, who is diagnosed with dementia, was last seen between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m.
Police said Palmer is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has a medium-brown skin complexion, a gray beard and a bald head. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers. Palmer also has two hospital bands on his wrists.

“While police are actively searching for Mr. Palmer, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him and returning him to his family,” authorities said.
On Wednesday morning, police confirmed that the search for Palmer continues.
