Essex County Store Sells $9.5 Million Lottery Ticket

A store in Essex County sold a lottery ticket worth $9.5 million for the Pick-6 drawing on Sept. 30. See the lucky numbers here.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A store in Essex County sold a lottery ticket worth $9.5 million for the Pick-6 drawing on Monday, Sept. 30, officials said.

According to the New Jersey Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at Pilot Travel Center #1098, 400 Doremus Avenue in Newark. The retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The ticket matched all six numbers drawn, capturing a $9.5 million annuity jackpot. The cash value is more than $7.5 million, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers for the Monday, Sept. 30, drawing were: 14, 22, 26, 29, 36 and 48. The XTRA Multiplier was: 03.

A total of 676,452 tickets were purchased for the Sept. 30 drawing. In addition to the $9.5 million jackpot, 10 tickets matched five out of the six white balls drawn, winning $3,382 each.

The jackpot for the Pick-6 game has reset to $2 million. The next drawing will be held Thursday, Oct. 3.
