New Jersey Longhorns Minor League Football Games

Newark’s own New Jersey Longhorns minor league football team has a new logo, a new look, and a new winning attitude.   Come to the next home game at Nat Turner Park in Newark, 246 18th Avenue.  The full schedule is listed below.

But winning is not everything and to honor the team's obligation to give back to our community, it holds community service.

At all home games, the team will sell raffle tickets for $1 each to help cover the cost of stadium rental fees and referee fees.   Three winners will be selected at each home game to win $15.00, $20.00 or $25.00 in cash prizes.

On Thursday, November 22^nd the New Jersey Longhorns will be at the Plainfield Senior Citizens Service Center, 400 East Front Street Plainfield, NJ 07060 providing meals for Thanksgiving. In addition, the Longhorns will raffle two Thanksgiving dinner baskets that will provide complete Thanksgiving Day dinners, including turkey, yams, eggs, macaroni and cheese, green beans, milk, juice, cake mix or cookies and more.  The tickets will cost $1 each and the drawing will be held on that same day.

Coming in April 2013, the New Jersey Longhorns will re-visit the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ for children suffering from cancer. Team members will read books to the children and perform other volunteer projects identified by the hospital.

Be sure to come out and support the New Jersey Longhorns this season.  All home games are played at Nat Turner Park in Newark, located at 246 18^th Avenue.  Saturday games start at 6:30 p.m.  Sunday games start at 2:00 p.m. The schedule is as follows:
