Fatal Fire In Newark Claims Life Of 57-Year-Old: Authorities
A Newark man died after a fire engulfed a building on Franklin Avenue, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.
NEWARK, NJ — A Newark man died after a fire engulfed a building on Franklin Avenue last weekend, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Authorities identified the deceased man as Charlie Casiano, 57.

“On Saturday, February 4, at 7:40 p.m., the Newark Fire Department notified the Essex County Prosecutor’s Crime Scene Investigations Bureau of a fire on the 800-block of Franklin Avenue, Newark. Casiano was located inside the building and transported to Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, where he was pronounced dead at 8:01 p.m.”
