Fatal Shooting In Essex County; Newark, Irvington Men Guilty Of Murder
Three men have been found guilty of murder in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in Newark more than four years ago.
NEWARK, NJ — Three men have been found guilty of murder in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in Newark more than four years ago, authorities recently announced.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, a jury announced first-degree murder convictions for Tyshon Armour, 23, of Newark, Reynold Henderson, 23, of Irvington, and Issad Jackson, 26, of Irvington.
The shooting took place in March 2021. The three men were in a BMW X-5 – which was stolen from Westfield – at the time of the murder, prosecutors said.

The car approached the victim – Dedric Bracey, 22 – on St. Paul Avenue. After following Bracey, the vehicle stopped and Armour and Jackson fired 13 shots at their victim, killing him.
The three suspects fled the scene in the stolen car and drove to Irvington, where a New Jersey State Police Motor Vehicle Crime North Unit tracked the vehicle. After a brief foot chase, the men were captured and arrested.

The defendants were also convicted of related weapons offenses and of receiving stolen property. They face life in prison, prosecutors said.
Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 9.
