Fatal Shooting In Newark Claims 39-Year-Old Man’s Life
Newark police found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A fatal shooting claimed the life of a 39-year-old man in Newark on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Newark police responded to a report of a shooting on the 300-block of Broadway at 3:59 a.m., according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
The officers found Antoine Alston, 39, of Newark, outside of the building with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:26 a.m.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday afternoon.
