Fatal Shooting In Newark Claims Life Of 21-Year Old: Police
"One person is in custody," authorities said, adding that an investigation is active and ongoing.
NEWARK, NJ — A shooting claimed the life of a 21-year-old Newark resident on Tuesday, authorities said.
Leeana Cottle, 21, was shot on the 200-block of South 10th Street around 11:30 p.m., according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Cottle was transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m.
