Fatal Shooting In Newark Claims NYC Resident’s Life
A 60-year-old New York City resident was fatally shot in Newark, New Jersey.
NEWARK, NJ — A fatal shooting in Newark, New Jersey claimed the life of a 60-year-old New York City resident on Sunday, authorities said.
Newark police responded to the 300-block of Renner Avenue at 3:55 p.m. after getting a report about a shooting. Outside, the officers found Vincent J. Anderson, 60, of New York City, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Police Department.
Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:11 p.m.

An investigation is ongoing, authorities said. No arrests have been made.
