Fire At Chemical Company In Newark; No Injuries, Authorities Say
Newark firefighters put out a blaze at a local chemical company, authorities reported.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark firefighters put out a fire at a local chemical company on Saturday, authorities reported.
The fire took place at Troy Chemical Company, which is located at 1 Avenue L, the Newark Department of Public Safety said.
Firefighters responded to the building at 1:10 p.m. The blaze was extinguished with dry chemical and a coat of foam. The fire was placed under control at 1:53 p.m., authorities said.

No injuries were reported, authorities said.
The Newark Department of Public Safety Arson Squad is investigating the cause and origin of the fire. No additional information was immediately available.
