Fire In Newark Airport Restaurant Causes Temporary Evacuation On Friday
Airport operations and security screenings weren't affected, Port Authority says.
A fire in the Wasabi restaurant in Newark Liberty Airport caused a brief evacuation of the C-1 section of Terminal C on Friday morning, authorities stated.
A Port Authority spokesman told the Associated Press that the terminal was briefly evacuated because of smoke before the fire was extinguished, but airport operations and passenger security screenings were not disrupted.
