Back-to-school planning has already begun in Newark. Here are some key dates to keep in mind for the upcoming school year.
NEWARK, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun for parents and students in the Newark Public School District for 2021-22, with students' first day of class set for Tuesday, Sept. 7.
The last day of class for students takes place on Friday, June 24. See the full calendar online here.

- THANKSGIVING BREAK - Nov. 25 and Nov. 26
- WINTER HOLIDAYS/BREAK - Dec. 24 and 27 (holiday), Dec. 28 to 29 (winter recess), Dec. 30 and 31 (holiday)
- SPRING BREAK - April 18 to April 22
