Free Citizenship Classes In New Jersey: Virtual, In-Person Available

NEW JERSEY — “Las registraciones para las clases gratuitas de Ciudadanía ya estan abiertas!”

Make the Road New Jersey will host free in-person and virtual citizenship classes in June as part of the United States Citizenship and Integration Service citizenship program.

The classes will help people to prepare for the 100 questions on the U.S. citizenship exam about civics, history and U.S. government. Classes will last 10 weeks.

Make the Road New Jersey will also provide free legal assistance to file citizenship applications, the nonprofit said.

There are two class formats: in-person and virtual.

In-person classes will start on Tuesday June 11 at Make the Road’s office at 184 Passaic Street in Passaic. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Virtual classes will be held via Zoom every Monday and Thursday, starting on June 10.

Las clases lo ayudarán a prepararse para las 100 preguntas del examen de ciudadanía estadounidense sobre educación cívica, historia y gobierno de los EE. UU. Las clases tendrán una duración de 10 semanas.

Importante: nuestras clases de ciudadanía estadounidense están diseñadas para residentes permanentes legales ( Green Card) en proceso de naturalización. Las clases se daran en inglés.

Hay dos formatos en las clases:

Comenzando el Martes de 11 de Junio, tendremos clases en persona tods los Martes en nuestra oficina de Passaic ubicado en la 184 Passaic Street en Passaic. Las clases son de 6:30 p.m. a 8:30 p.m.

Comenzando el Lunes 10 de Junio, tendremos clases virtuales todos los Lunes y Jueves por Zoom desde las 6:30 p.m. a 8:30 p.m. .
