Free Winter Clothes Giveaway In Newark For In-Need Residents
A free winter coat and clothes giveaway event for people in need – including "newly arrived migrants" – will take place in Newark.
NEWARK, NJ — A free winter coat and clothes giveaway event for people in need – including “newly arrived migrants” – will take place in Newark on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The Mercy House of Newark, a resource and referral center operated by the Archdiocese of Newark, will distribute free coats and other winter wear at the event, including to migrants who may have no cold weather clothing, organizers said.
The event will take place at 11 a.m. at The Mercy House, 620 Clinton Avenue in Newark.

Apparel has been donated by parish communities, local Catholic schools, and staff members of the Archdiocese of Newark.
