Guns, Drugs, Money Seized During Police Raids In Newark, Irvington
The haul included 75,000 tablets of ecstasy, 1,630 envelopes of heroin, 87 pounds of marijuana, magic mushrooms, heroin and other drugs.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex County police recently carried out three search warrants in Newark and Irvington, making two arrests and seizing a large stockpile of guns, drugs and money in the process, authorities announced Wednesday.
According to the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, detectives confiscated seven weapons during the raids, including a .22 caliber assault rifle, two 9mm handguns (one defaced), a .44 magnum revolver, a .40 caliber handgun, a .22 caliber rifle, a handgun and nearly 200 rounds of hollow-point ammunition.
Detectives also seized a tablet press machine, Firmapress pill mix powder, 1,630 envelopes of heroin, about 87 pounds of marijuana, more than 75,000 tablets of ecstasy, an “assortment” of THC edibles, 4,300 grams of “concentrated THC,” about 30 decks of heroin, more than 85 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, more than 20 grams of cocaine and about 30 grams of Xanax.

More than $12,000 in cash was seized while carrying out the search warrants, authorities said.
Two people – Jamil Wilson of Irvington and Courtney Conner of Newark – were arrested. Wilson and Conner pled not guilty to all charges and will be housed at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark pending a detention hearing on Nov. 14.
