Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing At Newark Airport

A helicopter made an emergency landing at Newark Airport after experiencing engine problems, Port Authority police say.

NEWARK, NJ — A helicopter made an emergency landing at Newark Airport on Friday afternoon, but there were no injuries to the pilot or its four passengers, authorities say.

According to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, police received a report of a helicopter with engine problems at the airport around noon.

Port Authority Aircraft Rescue Firefighters responded to the scene, and the helicopter made an emergency landing on runway 22L around 12:13 p.m., authorities said.
