Homeless Outreach Event In Newark: Free Clothes, Food, Haircuts

The City of Newark will offer a hand up to local homeless residents at a free event on Friday, Oct. 25.

NEWARK, NJ — The City of Newark will offer a hand up to local homeless residents at a free event on Friday, Oct. 25.

According to a city social media post, the event will help connect homeless people with vital social services. More than 25 providers of health, nutrition and shelter will be on-site at the workshop, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Newark Public Library, 5 Washington Street.

The event will include free clothing, toiletries, snacks and haircuts for homeless residents. Audible will distribute free lunches.
