Howell Man Found With Fatal Gunshot Wound In Newark: Police
No arrests have been made as of Wednesday, prosecutors said.
NEWARK, NJ — A resident of Howell Township was fatally shot in Newark on Tuesday night, authorities said.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Newark police responded to a home on the 900-block of South 16th Street around 9 p.m. after getting a report about a shooting.
The officers found Tyquane Steed, 29, of Howell Township, inside the residence with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:13 p.m., authorities said.
