Hundreds Of Flights Canceled At NJ Airport Following Snowstorm
"Only go to Newark Airport if your carrier has confirmed your flight," officials advised.
NEWARK, NJ — A winter snowstorm that hit New Jersey severely impacted flights at Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday, authorities said.
The Garden State was blanketed in snow on Friday morning after a second snowstorm blew through the region this week. Newark Airport officials began sounding the call about the potential impact to flights on Thursday. That unfortunate prediction came true, authorities reported.

As of Friday morning, there were 236 cancellations at the airport, a number that is expected to increase, officials said.
“Only go to [Newark Airport] if your carrier has confirmed your flight,” officials advised.
