Ice Cream Vendor Robbed At Knifepoint In Newark: Police
A suspect held a knife to the vendor's throat. Another stole her bag, which contained $1,000, an iPhone and a bank card, Newark police said.
NEWARK, NJ — A police search continues for two men who robbed an ice cream vendor at knifepoint in Newark last month, authorities said Monday.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the robbery took place around 9:30 a.m. on July 18 on the 200-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue.
The victim – an ice cream vendor – began to set up her cart for business, when two men approached from behind asking for ice cream. The suspects then pushed her into the cart. One of them pulled out a knife and held it to her throat, and the other stole her bag, which contained $1,000, an iPhone, a vendor’s license ID and a bank card.
