‘Integrity Day’ Event In Newark Will Include Free Activities, Services

NEWARK, NJ — Integrity House, one of New Jersey’s largest nonprofit providers of substance use disorder and mental health services, will hold its inaugural “Integrity Day” celebration on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Commemorating the 56th anniversary of Integrity House’s incorporation in Newark, the free event will be open to the public. It will be held in Lincoln Park in Newark beginning at 11 a.m.

The free outdoor event will feature a range of wellness activities and services, including:

• Screenings for substance use disorders and other mental health conditions
• Blood pressure checks
• Harm reduction supplies, including Narcan
• Primary care and infectious disease education and screenings
• Yoga and breathwork sessions
• A raffle and family-friendly games
• Wellness giveaways
• Music, food and beverages

According to a news release from the nonprofit:

“Since establishing its permanent headquarters in Newark’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, Integrity House has grown exponentially, establishing outreach, health care and treatment programs throughout New Jersey as part of its mission to serve and do more. Throughout its growth, Newark has remained a central area of focus. Integrity Day is both a celebration and affirmation of Integrity House’s commitment to Newark.”
