NEWARK, NJ — Newark will have an unusual source of traffic delays on Tuesday, officials say: zombies.
The film production “Isle of the Dead” will be shooting from 1 to 8 p.m. near the NJ Transit subway at the corner of Broad Street and Raymond Boulevard, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
“Isle of the Dead” is the upcoming spinoff of AMC’s mega-hit show, “The Walking Dead.”

Earlier this month, Lawn Love released a tongue-in-cheek analysis of “2022’s Best Cities for Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse.” The study ranked the 200 largest U.S. cities in 26 key areas of zombie invasion-preparedness, including how many people are in poor health, and how many have access to “bunkers,” hunting-gear stores and supermarkets.
Newark came in at the ninth-least prepared city on the list, which also included Paterson and Jersey City. Read More: Newark Among Worst US Cities If Zombie Outbreak Happens, Report Says
