Keith D. Robinson Celebrates First Billboard R&B Chart Milestone With “UP”

Keith D. Robinson is celebrating a new milestone in a career that has taken him across television, film and music.

According to information shared with UNWRITTEN Media by Robinson’s publicity team, his latest single, “UP,” has landed at No. 27 on the Billboard R&B charts, marking his first Billboard Top 30 song and a new chapter in his musical journey.

For Robinson, the accomplishment is particularly meaningful after years of continuing to pursue music alongside his successful acting career.

“Words are not enough for this moment,” Robinson shared. “It has been a long time getting here, but I am just proud of myself for never giving up and for staying the course.”

The 14-track project includes “UP,” along with previously released songs “Different Languages,” “Forever Bae” and “Heavy Heart.”

Robinson describes the album as a reflection of his own experiences with life, relationships and personal growth.

“This album is inspired by the life, and love experiences I have personally encountered or witnessed over the past few years,” Robinson shared.

Those experiences range from falling in and out of love to major changes in the world around him, with each song representing another chapter interpreted through R&B and soul.

The Feeling Behind “UP”

“UP” focuses on the excitement and anticipation that comes with the early stages of a new relationship that unmistakable butterfly feeling when something new begins.

The song was written by Robinson and produced by Jason Edmonds, Tracy Carter and Robinson.

Its accompanying futuristic music video, directed by Derek Blanks, brings Robinson’s worlds as an actor and musician together. The visual follows a character paralleling Robinson’s own life as he prepares for a night out with a new love.

The milestone arrives as Robinson continues balancing both sides of his entertainment career.
