La Casa de Don Pedro to host a Wine & Cheese Night Fundraiser

La Casa de Don Pedro to host a Wine & Cheese Night Fundraiser in Lower Broadway to support Project Backpack!

La Casa de Don Pedro, one of Newark’s premier community based social service and community development organizations, will host a Wine & Cheese Night Fundraiser for Project Backpack on Thursday, July 25th at the RyArMo Photography Studio, 74 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Guests ages 21+ can enjoy a night of art, entertainment, great company, food & drinks, and charitable giving! Admission to the fundraiser is one new quality backpack or $15 worth of school supplies per person. Cash and credit card donations are also welcome! Be sure to RSVP to Keishla Gonzalez-Quiles at info@lacasanwk.org.

All donations collected throughout the evening will go toward Project Backpack, La Casa's campaign to prepare Newark children for the coming school year. We will distribute all donated backpacks filled with school supplies at Newark's 12th Annual Festival de la Familia on Sunday, August 18th, 12noon-5pm on Broadway between Bloomfield Place & Broad Street in the Lower Broadway Neighborhood.
