Labor Day Crash Kills Motorcyclist In Newark: Prosecutor

A Labor Day vehicle crash at a Newark intersection killed a motorcyclist, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A vehicle crash at a Newark intersection killed a motorcyclist on Labor Day, authorities said.

A spokesperson with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said that a crash between a motorcycle and a car took place around 10 a.m. on Monday at Montclair and Summer avenues. Emergency responders transported the motorcycle rider to a nearby hospital and pronounced them dead shortly afterwards.

No charges have been filed as of Tuesday. Authorities are withholding the identity of the deceased pending notification of the next-of-kin.
