LGBTQ Advocates Plan Free ‘Name Change Clinic’ In Essex County
A "name change clinic" in Essex County will reach out to transgender and non-binary people with free legal advice on April 25.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A “name change clinic” in Essex County will reach out to transgender and non-binary people with free legal advice on Tuesday, April 25.
According to the Essex County Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs, attorneys from McCarter & English LLP and Essex-Newark Legal Services will be on site at the public event. They will provide advice about the name change process and how to legally affirm names.
The workshop will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Essex County Leroy F. Smith Jr. Public Safety Building, 60 Nelson Place in Newark (see flyer below).

Admission is free with registration, which can be done online here. Free parking will be available at the Jurors Parking Lot.
