Love Blooms In NJ: Newlyweds Donate $15K In Flowers To Local Hospital

The donation was also a bittersweet moment for the newlyweds, who both lost a grandparent earlier this year.

NEWARK, NJ — For Imani Mclendon Arcenaux and Jeffery Miller Arcenaux, it was more than flowers that they gave to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center: it was a thank-you in the name of their deceased grandparents.

On Saturday – the day after their wedding – the couple made a visit to the hospital to deliver nearly $15,000 worth of white roses and hydrangeas, which were used for the floral arrangement on their big day.

Their hope? To extend the joy of their nuptials to the hospital's patients and caregivers.

“We are so grateful for all the health care workers who cared for our grandparents in their final days, and we wanted to give back in memory of our loved ones and as a tribute to all caregivers,” McClendon explained.

The couple are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Antigua.
