Man Dies, Found With Apparent Stab Wounds In Newark: Prosecutors
The exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — Authorities have launched an investigation into the death of a man who was found with fatal wounds in Newark, police recently announced.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, officers found an unresponsive man – who appeared to be suffering from stab wounds – in the area of Magazine and Ferry Street around 3:30 a.m. on Friday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:07 a.m. His identity is being withheld pending formal identification and notification of next of kin, authorities said.

The exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy at the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office in Newark, police added.
The prosecutor’s office homicide task force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the man’s death. Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s tip line at 877-847-7432.
