Man Dies In Newark House Fire; Investigation Continues

Emergency responders transported an adult male to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A man was killed in a house fire that took place in Newark on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The fatal fire broke out at a home on the 200-block of South 11th Street, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Emergency responders transported an adult male to University Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m.
