Man Found Dead At Newark City Hall; ‘Not Suspicious,’ Police Say

NEWARK, NJ — A municipal employee was found dead at Newark City Hall on Thursday morning. Police are not currently considering the death suspicious, authorities said.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, officers responded to a call about a sick or injured person at 920 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard at 8:28 a.m.

Officers found a city worker unresponsive inside the building. He was pronounced deceased at 8:50 a.m.
