Men With Shotgun Carjack Newark Parking Lot Attendant: Police

Newark police are looking for two men who allegedly carjacked a parking lot attendant at gunpoint.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are looking for two men who carjacked a parking lot attendant at gunpoint last weekend, authorities announced Monday.

The Newark Department of Public Safety released a statement about the carjacking, which took place on Saturday:

“Police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. on the 20-block of Edison Place. Two males dressed in black approached the parking lot attendant and one of them – armed with a shotgun – demanded that he give up the keys to the vehicles. After they took two sets of keys, one of the men drove off eastbound on Edison Place.”

Police released photos of the stolen vehicle and the two suspects, which can be seen below.

Authorities said that anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website or through its smartphone app.
