Blood For Mets Tickets: N.J. Fans Can Score Free Passes To Citi Field

Mets fans are used to giving their heart and soul to their oft-beleaguered team. Now they’re being asked to give their blood.
The good news? It’s all for a good cause. That’s because Mets fans who donate blood during events on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 will get a pair of vouchers to see a game at Citi Field, according to the New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS).
The BJBS – reportedly trying to boost donations in the midst of a “blood emergency” – posted news about the two ticket giveaway donation events on its Facebook page. Donation events are slated for:

- Friday, July 28 - East Brunswick - Brunswick Square Blood Drive, Center Court, 755 Route 18 South, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. To make an appointment, call 1-800-933-BLOOD.
- Saturday, July 29 – Jersey City – Hudson Mall, 701 State RT 440, from noon to 6 p.m. To make an appointment, visit www.tinyurl.com/hudsonmallbloo... or call 1-800-933-BLOOD. Walk-ins are welcome. Bring photo ID.
Organizers told NJ.com that qualified donors should be at least 16-years-old and have parental consent. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, however other height and weight restrictions apply.
Donors must be in generally good health, present their NYBC donor card or photo or signed ID, and eat and drink at regular meal times. People over 75 years old can donate with a note from their physician, organizers said.
