Michael’s Hiring For 250 Seasonal Jobs In Newark Area, More In NJ

NEWARK, NJ — Arts and crafts retailer Michael’s plans to hire nearly 250 seasonal positions in the Newark area and more than 400 in New Jersey as the company ramps up for the 2022 holiday season.

On Tuesday, Michael’s announced it will be hiring 15,000 seasonal positions across its stores and distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada.

Michaels will host a seasonal hiring event in all U.S. and Canadian stores on Saturday, Sept. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. (local time). Candidates are welcome to apply in advance online, or in person during the in-store events, which will also include interviews for qualified candidates.

According to a news release from the company:

Last year, Michaels converted more than 50% of seasonal in-store positions into regular roles following the holidays.
