LOCATED: Missing 13-Year-Old Newark Girl Last Seen Near Busy Intersection, Police Say
Police asked for the public's help finding a missing teenage girl in Essex County. She has been found, authorities said.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ -- Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing, 13-year-old girl in Essex County.
Ashley Vargas, 13, of Newark, was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 8 at South 9th Street near Central Avenue in Newark, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Vargas is Hispanic, 5 feet and 115 pounds. She was wearing black pants and a black sweater.
Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
