Missing Essex County Senior Citizen With Alzheimer’s Found Safe

Authorities said that a missing Essex County senior citizen diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease is safe and back with her family.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities have located a missing Essex County senior citizen diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. She’s unharmed and has been reunited with her family, police said.

Alejandrina Peralta Bernard, 73, of Newark, was reported missing on Saturday, the Newark Department of Public Safety stated.

Anyone with information about any missing person and/or suspicious or criminal activity can call the department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS(1-877-695-4867). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website at: www.newarkpd.org or through the Newark Police Division smartphone app available at iTunes and Google Play.
