Missing Girl Recently Seen At Park In Newark Has Been Found (UPDATED)

The missing youth was seen at a park with three other juveniles, Newark police said. She has since been found and is unharmed.

Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 12-year-old girl, authorities announced Monday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Ja’mayah Sanders, 12, was reported missing on Sunday. She was recently seen at Weequahic Park in Newark with three other juveniles: one female and two males.

Sanders is 5 feet 3 inches and 100 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a medium-brown skin complexion. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a Chinese logo, black shorts, black sneakers, a red headband and a small handbag. Her hair was styled in two ponytails, police said.
