Former Newark Girl Who Went Missing Has Been Found, Police Say: UPDATE

Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a runaway teen who may have returned to New Jersey after moving to Maryland.

On Thursday, the Newark Department of Public Safety put out an advisory about Manayah Maxine Brodie, 14, of Nottingham, MD, asking for the public’s help finding her.

Brodie – a former Newark resident – is believed to have run away and returned to the city, where she used to live in the South Ward. She still has family and friends in the area, authorities said.

Police said Brodie is 5 feet 3 inches and 110 pounds (see photo below).

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
