NEWARK, NJ — A missing New Jersey teen who is a “frequent runaway” might have left the state, authorities said Wednesday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Juhlia Payne, 15, was reported missing on May 3. She has run away from home before, and frequents Nat Turner Park in Newark.

Authorities said Payne may be visiting a relative in Jamaica, New York. A police search continues.

Payne is 4 feet 8 inches and 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a school uniform that consists of a blue sweater, white shirt and gray pants.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
