Missing Newark Girl, 12, Found Unharmed: Police (UPDATED)

Police were searching for a missing girl known to visit Penn Station and a local park. She has since been found unharmed, authorities said.

Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl from Essex County who has been known to visit a local park and Newark Penn Station, authorities announced Wednesday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Jolie Diaz, 12, of Newark, was reported missing on Tuesday.

Diaz is a Black female who is 5 feet 10 inches and 130 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a light skin complexion. She is known to frequent the 100-block of Parker Street, the basketball courts at Essex County Branch Brook Park, and Newark Penn Station, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
