Missing Newark Man Diagnosed With Autism Found Unharmed
Newark police were searching for a man in the downtown area or near Newark Penn Station. He's since been found, authorities say.

NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Anthony Parejo, 42, of Newark, has been found unharmed, police said Wednesday. Our original article follows below.
A missing, 42-year-old Newark man diagnosed with autism may be in the downtown area or near Newark Penn Station, police say.
Anthony Parejo, 42, of Newark, was reported missing on Tuesday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Police stated:
“Mr. Parejo, who has been diagnosed with autism, was last seen in the 200-block of Keer Avenue at 11 a.m. His family reports that Mr. Parejo’s mental condition is poor and that he may be in the downtown Newark area or near Newark Penn Station.”
“While detectives are actively searching for Mr. Parejo, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him so he can be reunited with his family,” police said.

Authorities said Parejo is about 5 feet 4 inches and between 140 and 160 pounds. He has a light-brown skin complexion, gray and white hair and brown eyes.
