NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing man who was last seen several days ago, authorities reported Wednesday.

Luis E. Pacheo, 58, of Newark, was reported missing on July 30, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

“Pacheo, who is diagnosed with dementia, was last seen at approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 29 on the 100-block of Elwood Avenue. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers and maybe in the area of Broadway, Mt. Prospect Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue.”

Pacheo was described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches and 135 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a light skin complexion.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website at www.newarkpd.org or through its smartphone app.
