Missing Newark Man Last Seen At Bar Wearing Football Apparel: Police

Police are asking for help finding a missing 57-year-old man. He was last seen at a local bar wearing a San Francisco 49ers hat and shirt.

NEWARK, NJ — Police in Newark are asking for the public’s help finding a missing man, authorities said.

Henry Jr. Jones, 57, of Newark, was reported missing on Jan. 2, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety. He is still missing as of Wednesday morning, authorities confirmed.

“Jones was last seen at Coachman’s Bar, located on the 600-block of Springfield Avenue. He was wearing a San Francisco 49ers football hat, a beige jacket, a red San Francisco 49ers long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, brown glasses, and black and grey Nike sneakers. Jones is 5 feet 11 inches and 180 pounds, with brown eyes, a brown skin complexion, and a low-cut hairstyle.”

Authorities said that anyone who has information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website or via its smartphone app.
