Missing Newark Man Found Unharmed, Police Say (Update)
"We are very concerned for his well-being," a family member previously said.
NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Eli Tunpin has been found and is unharmed, Newark police said Wednesday. Our original article follows below.
A Newark man’s family continues to search for him after he went missing last week.
Eli Tunpin was reported missing on Friday, June 9. He was last seen on the 100-block of Mt. Pleasant Avenue, the Newark Department of Public Safety confirmed.

A family member told Patch that Tunpin, 42, is 6 feet and has a tan skin complexion (see photos above). He was last seen around 2 p.m. He was under the care of Sunrise LLC on 155 Mt Pleasant Avenue in Newark, and apparently walked out of the facility.
“We are very concerned for his well-being,” a family member said late Monday evening, adding that Tunpin is disabled, has special needs/is hearing impaired and is taking medication.
