Missing Newark Teen Last Seen More Than A Month Ago, Police Say

The missing Newark juvenile may be in Irvington, police said.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are asking for help finding a missing teen who may be in Irvington, authorities announced Wednesday.

Amir Duprey, 17, of Newark, was reported missing on July 18, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Duprey – who has run away from home before – was last seen on the 100-block of Seymour Avenue. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and black sneakers, police said.

Duprey may be in Irvington at a friend’s house, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
