Missing Essex County Teen Was Last Seen Several Months Ago, Police Say

The 15-year-old was last seen in Essex County in October 2025, authorities said.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing teen who was last seen in Essex County several months ago, authorities announced Thursday.

Eduardo Barraza, 15, of Newark, was last seen on Oct. 4, 2025 on the 600-block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard in Newark, police said.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Barraza is Hispanic, 5 feet 1 inch and 115 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt and black sweatpants.

Barraza is known to frequent the area of Summer Avenue and Highland Avenue in Newark, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477).
